The Hilltop Companies has two companies that provide real estate consulting (Hilltop Advisory Partners LLC) and real estate accounting services (Hilltop Accounting LLC). Of course, Hilltop Advisors works with companies that provide debt for real estate investments. The result is that Hilltop has a broad experience base that involves most of the aspects of a real estate transaction and ongoing asset management. We have had engagements that included resources from all of our companies and our teaming partners such as accountants, consultants, sales brokers, developers, leasing agents, asset/property managers and appraisers. Jeff Oliver has had many engagements with REITs (both real estate and mortgage REITs) including formation, acquisitions, mergers, compliance with REIT requirements, tax laws, distribution issues, asset acquisition, valuation of assets, audits/reviews of assets under management by outside vendors, etc.
Several of our senior resources have had extensive experience in the real estate business itself including commercial/multifamily/retail/hotel developers, homebuilders, asset management firms, sales and leasing companies, property managers, etc. We have provided consulting and accounting services to all of these components of the real estate business.
