Each of our Hilltop companies based in McLean, VA are growing and we are now hiring for various positions with both experienced employees and recent graduates as noted below. The Hilltop companies includes Hilltop Advisors (a Financial Services consulting firm), Hilltop Federal Services (a Federal government consulting firm), Hilltop Accounting (an accounting advisory and specialty audit firm) and Hilltop iSolutions (a data technology consulting firm). All employees are hired by Hilltop Advisors and are utilized in client engagements across all businesses.
The types of consulting and accounting services that we provide to our clients include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strategy consulting involving new companies and existing companies exploring new business opportunities, growth strategies, transformation strategies, etc.
- Enterprise risk management policy design, procedures and technology implementation, risk vulnerability assessments, controls design/implementation/testing
- Regulatory compliance reviews, implement procedures/technology to comply with regulations and help with remediation efforts as needed,
- Litigation support and Expert services,
- Fraud/Financial Crimes investigations and controls assessments,
- Forensic accounting engagements to reconstruct or assemble financial information into usable financial statements,
- Performance analysis and Process Improvement consulting,
- Project management, Change management, Organizational effectiveness and training,
- Finance and Accounting services,
- Internal audit services (primarily bank and mortgage entities),
- Audit readiness and oversight services for financial statement and internal controls audits
- IT and/or Data controls, security, operations, defining business requirements, SDLC, and
- Mergers and Acquisition due diligence, integration, price and “earn out” calculations.
We are looking for strong candidates (with and without previous experience). Our minimum requirements are as follows:
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, economics, other degrees may be considered depending on previous experience),
- Strong analytical skills (good with numbers very important)
- Strong communications skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel, Word, Office 365)
- Positive “can do” attitude
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various work environments
- Attention to detail, and
- Willing to work hard!
- Senior management candidates will be required to have accounting/audit/consulting firm experience of at least 5 years and demonstrated ability to sell/propose work to new clients.
Preferred certifications among others include:
o CPA or be “on track” to be a CPA,
o Certified Information Specialist Auditor (CISA),
o Certified Fraud & Forensics Expert (CFE or CFF)
o Project Management Professional (PMP)
o Anti-Money Laundering & BSA (CAML),
o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA),
o Certified Government Financial Management (CGFM).
Preferable prior work experience includes:
- Bank/Credit Union consulting
- Mortgage banking consulting
- Bank, Credit Union or Mortgage company regulatory compliance
- Federal Bank examiners, FBI “white collar crime” or fraud investigations,
- Federal Inspector General and IG auditors,
- Cyber security experience,
- Federal agency finance or operations experience with FHA, Ginnie Mae, FDIC, OCC, FED, Treasury, DOJ, FHFA, CFPB, SBA, Education, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac,
- Federal consulting/accounting experience with A-123 and/or A133 audits, CFO Act, Credit Reform Act, DoD’s OUSD FIAR methodology and requirements, Federal accounting policies and methods, FISCAM, USSGL, Financial Management Regulation (FMR), or other applicable Federal guidance to agencies.
Our employment opportunities are permanent full time, salaried professional employee positions. Periodically, we do hire Project Based employees that are salaried but only for the duration of the engagement period.
Hilltop has a full benefit package that includes incentive compensation and a pension/401k plan. The Company pays for a substantial amount of the health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short-term disability premiums. Hilltop provides paid time off (used for vacation, sick and personal time away from the office) and has 8 fixed and 4 floating holidays. Travel will be required for some client engagements (typically short term and rarely for our Federal clients).
