- Loan money to businesses or individuals (Eduction and student loans),
- Guarantee or insure the repayment of the loan (SBA, FHA, VA, Farm Credit, USDA and others),
- Securitize or approve the securitization of loans (Ginnie Mae),
- Bank or Credit Union regulators (OCC, FDIC, NCUA, FED, Treasury, CFPB and others),
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are Government Sponsored Entities.
